The Molly Balloons fashion show is one of the great events to attend in Kansas City, Missouri. This event brings together many creatives of art and fashion from of local & soon to break out designers to the national fashion stage. This year the Molly Balloons experience took place at the Truman event space.
I bought my ticket in hurried expectation for a fantastic Friday night of fashion, fun, revelry, and great collaboration. This event surpassed it. I was truly transported to another realm up in the heavens. I was transported from the mundane typical Friday nights in Kansas City to a place of wonder, fun, socializing, and of course, people watching. LGBTQ friendly environment, safe space where you could have true fun and freedom. It an awesome safe space to express yourself much like in my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The large venue that the Truman provided was transformed and opened a portal into the world of @MollyBalloons. A Fantastic set up which included soft pastel lights of the rainbow. Prime color was seen, and I experience seeing shades blue, aqua, red, green sprawled in between the darkness of a nightlife venue and event. As I proceeded on my own with my trusty camera bag past the ticketing desk, an archway made of tangerine balloons greeted me and brought into this strange land. The runway was set up European style with no raised runway in the shape of a T. An amazing piece was a backstage wall that reached from the floor to the ceiling of various sizes of Balloons. Adjacent to the wall was a neon cube with a black background where selfies could be taken. Plenty of access to the bars with amble staff ready for your order. At the end of the show, the chairs were picked up and a 15-foot scaffold laden with balloons was brought out to the middle of the floor to culminate the night with high beats, dancing, and expressions of freedom. #balloons #gold #fashion #style #fashionshow #designer #fashionweek #model #design #art
